to the dark side
Weather in the nineties touched me with its the bronzing/burning powers this weekend while I was upstate. Im about 830458 x darker than I was on Thursday.
I'm convinced the bandeau I was wearing on the lake will be staying with me for a while.

Slow Days, Good Days
Reminiscing on last summer. Slow days, with sunshine, and good talks and good food. Fritz and I made a super moist and nutty (bad word choice? sorry) banana bread for this occasion. It never gets old. If there are overripe bananas available, I'm always down to bake a loaf. Unless those bananas are frozen for smoothies.
We sat out outside in the garden for hours, soaking up the rays.
Later on in the day was a visit to Hamburger Banhof Gallery. Afterwards was kaffee at the nearby restaurant, outside of course.

Sweet Summer
I think I'm a little tired- Anyways, its beautiful out and we've been having rather in the high 70's.
One of my favorite songs at the moment is Andrew in Drag- by the Magnetic Fields. (I'd post it one here ,but I tried twice and it keeps getting removed) I was listening to it on loop white I was making granola this morning. Its so good! (the song, but the granola too)

On the job
This makes me want summer. Its March now, so we only have twenty seven more days of school. I've been looking online for flights as well- which makes me even more excited!
Right now I'm working in the coffeehouse; there was just a really great spanish poetry reading. Now Christina and Melissa are coming to visit me. I love my job-
Heres what I'm listening to.

loved you then, love you now
I still love Grouplove. Their music is so happy yet they always pair it will a really strange and desperate video. I love it!
My new obsession? Instagram... I had the app for a while but just now started actually using it. I know I'm late to the party.
Afternoon Delight from Cody Caldwell on Vimeo.
After watching this it reminded me of summer. Those few days where we went down to Crystal Cove beach and stayed for hours doing nothing but sitting on our bums like hobos. Those were the summer days.

Feeling Good
I found out that I passed my speech proficiency test yesterday, which was thrilling news for me. Since I was able to pass out of Computers and Speech via exams, I now no longer have to take the two courses this summer. PA majors like myself have extra classes that can not be fit into the year's schedule because our program is accelerated into 5 years instead of the regular 6.
Since I chose to take German as an additional class this fall semester, I would have had two classes instead of one, to complete during summer. My speech and computers requirements however, are now waived! This totally opens up my plans, and unbinds me from everything school related this summer. I feel so accomplished- and free!
Today Mar, Danielle, Ellen and I went to Chinatown- Mar knows all the places to go in the area. After we had some incredible dumplings for lunch, we shopped around East Village. I found so many perfect pieces for the colder weather! It's been a successful past two days.

Sunshine, Sunshine, It's Fine
Sunshine, sunshine, it's fine
I feel it in my skin, warming up my mind,
Sometimes you gotta give in to win,
I love the days when it shines, whoa let it shine
